SSMU ADVERTISING
The Advertising procedure at the Students’ Society of McGill University (SSMU) consists of several primary methods outlined below.
1.1 Website – Please note that we can only advertise those who offer students discounts and or/services that do not conflict with the services already offered at SSMU. Everything must be done in order to benefit the student population.
For advertising rates please contact Myriam Richard at cpm@ssmu.mcgill.ca.
Additionally, we can also include small ads on student initiatives and or star-up businesses in the student discount section for the same prices as outlines above.
*Note: SSMU is in no way associated with these organizations as they are for profit.*
1.2 Listserv – used solely for communication between SSMU and the student population.
However, links to the student discounts section will be included in the weekly listserv.
1.3 Facebook
The SSMU AÉUM facebook page is primarily dedicated to the student population and intended for SSMU to communicate its main events to the students. However, in various circumstances where SSMU finds that one event bring an outstanding benefit to the student population, it may advertise this through Facebook and/or Twitter.
1.4 Twitter
The @theSSMU Twitter account is primarily used by the SSMU executives to communicate with the student population.
1.5 Handbook
SSMU creates the annual student handbook distributed to undergraduate students on campus. The Student Handbook relies heavily on advertising received from external sources.
