Note: Please note that parking in the lot behind the SSMU is controlled by McGill University and requires a permit. Parking there is at your own risk and you may incur a fine. The SSMU is not liable for any such fines.

As of September 2010 McTavish Street is officially closed to automobile traffic and is a pedestrian zone, as per an agreement between McGill University and the City of Montreal. If you are coming to the William Shatner University Centre by car, you may park on Peel Street or Sherbrooke Street.

Get to the University Centre by foot or by car

Take rue Sherbrooke to rue McTavish. The University Centre (3480) and Brown Student Services Building (3600) are on your left just before the road bends at the staircase to Dr. Penfield.

Find the SSMU Offices

Our offices are in the hallway on the main floor connecting the two buildings.

Entering by the University Centre, take a right at Liquid Nutrition and walk down the hallway. We are on your left before the double doors.

Entering by the Brown Building entrance on McTavish, walk down the small flight of steps to the left of the elevators on the main floor. We are on the right just through the double doors.

For deliveries ONLY:

Deliveries made to the SSMU can only be done via McTavish street until 11AM (Monday-Friday).

You must register with the Front Desk at frontctr@ssmu.mcgill.ca in order to be allowed to come up the street due to an agreement with McGill Security.

After 11AM, all deliveries must utilize the laneway between Peel and McTavish to enter our parking lot (map coming soon).
