Date: May 11th, 12th and 13th
Place: Shatner Building (Student Society Building) 3480 rue McTavish, Montreal, QC
3rd floor, 5 minutes of walk from Peel or McGill Station.
Tournament Format: 5 rounds Swiss, bring your own clock.
Time Control: 75 min/30 moves + 30 min/mate with 30 second increment each move.
Prizes: 3200 $ based on 70 paid entries.
80% of each additional paid entry will be added to the total prize.

Note:
Discount of 10$ on the standard fares if paid before April 1st.
Discount of 5$ on the discounted fares (U20 or McGill student/staff) if paid before April 1st.

Section details:
Section A (FQE, CFC and FIDE rated):
All players must have Elo over 2000 (FIDE, FQE, USCF or CFC).
FQE and CFC membership required (or purchase a tournament passport)
Free for GMs, IMs and FMs.
Free for National Masters (or FIDE/FQE 2200+ players), if they confirm before April 1st. Otherwise NMs have to pay 20$(No refund). However, NMs still have to pay the standard fees while registration(for free rate), which we will be refunded after the tournament(if they played at least 3 rounds).
Section B (U2000 FQE rated):
All players must have rating (FQE, CFC, FIDE or USCF) under 2000.
FQE membership required (or purchase a tournament passport)
Section C (U1700 FQE rated):
All players must have rating (FQE, CFC, FIDE or USCF) under 1700.
FQE membership required (or purchase a tournament passport)
Section D (U1400 FQE rated):
All players must have rating (FQE, CFC, FIDE or USCF) under 1400.
