Email Change!!

SSMU recently migrated its email and cloud systems from Vibe and Groupwise to Google Drive and Gmail! As such, the Elections SSMU email has changed from elections@ssmu.mcgill.ca to elections@ssmu.ca!

Though emails sent to the old address should be forwarded to the new account, please be aware of the change.

FYC Elections Tentative Timeline

  • FYC Information Session (optional) – September 21st
  • Nomination Period – October 2nd to 10th at 5:00PM
  • Extended Nomination Period – October 11th to 12th at 5:00PM
  • Pensketches – October 20th at 9AM
  • Candidates’ Meeting – October 16th at 5:00PM
  • Campaign Period – October 17th at 9:00am to October 27th at 3:00PM
  • Polling Period – October 24th at 9AM to October 27th at 3PM

Winter 2018 SSMU Elections and Referendum

 

The elections for the 2018/2019 SSMU Executive will be polled at the same time as the SSMU Winter Referendum. The dates for both electoral periods are as follows:

2018 SSMU Executive Elections:

  • Nomination Period: February 5 – February 14
  • Extended Nominations: February 15 – February 16
  • Candidate Information Meeting: March 1
  • Campaign Period: March 12 – March 21
  • Polling Period: March 19 – March 21 at 3:00 PM
  • Result announcement: After polls close on March 21

2018 SSMU Winter Referendum:

  • Nomination Period for student-initiated questions: February 7 – February 28
  • Meeting for Campaign Committee Chairs: March 1 at 4:00 PM
  • Campaign Period: March 12 – March 21
  • Polling Period: March 19 – March 21 at 3:00 PM
  • Result announcement: After polls close on March 21

Winter 2018 SSMU General Assembly

The SSMU Winter General Assembly will be held on Monday, February 26, 2018.

Following the GA there will be a vote to ratify decisions made during the GA. The vote will take place the following week on Monday, March 5, 2018.

  • Campaign Period: January 8 at 9:00 AM – January 18 at 3:00 PM
