Hey! I’m Tanya, a U2 Arts & Science student in Environment and minoring in Anthropology. Originally from the west coast (Victoria B.C.), I’ve been passionate about environmental issues for my whole life. I’ve participated in student expeditions to the poles (Arctic 2009, Antarctic 2011), worked in climate change policy work for the Yukon Government, spent a summer in Bolivia working with a local NGO, and have been lucky enough to travel in all sorts of corners of the world. I’ve been involved in the SSMU Environment Committee since my first year at McGill, first as a sustainability ambassador, then as the VP Internal Portfolio on the 5-year plan for sustainability, and finally as the Inter-campus Outreach Coordinator last year.
