Hours: 2 hours/week on average, with peak duties during First Year Council elections and Fall and Winter referendum and election periods.
Job Description
The Elections Coordinators are responsible for the preparation and coordination of the polls, including, but not limited to, hiring polling clerks, advertising polling locations and hours:
- Review all nomination and petition forms after they have been submitted to the Society’s office.
- Assume the duties of the Deputy Chief Electoral Officer in the event of an extended absence.
The contract is from September 4th, 2012 until April 30th, 2013.
Requirements
- Due diligence and impartiality in execution of duties.
- Ability to work diligently under pressure.
- Good planning, organization and communications skills.
- Good communication skills both in English and French desirable.
