The Motor Control Lab in the Psychology Dept. at McGill is looking for right handed subjects (age 18 – 35) to complete a motor study involving TMS (painless Trans-cranial Magnetic Stimulation) of the motor cortex (M1) area of the brain and the biceps muscle of the right arm.
We will place electrodes on the right upper arm (please bring a short sleeve shirt), over your biceps and triceps muscles, and stimulate the motor area of your brain (M1) to establish an EMG signal by single pulse TMS, and repeat a few time over several minutes.
We would need up to two hours of your time and compensation is $30.00. A personal or family history of seizure and/or metal parts in the body are the only major contraindications to this study.
Please contact email@example.com (sessions arranged by email only, please put ‘TMS Biceps Control’ in the subject field) with your availability for the next two weeks, longer if possible. We only do a few subjects per week so it can take us some time to get back to you. If so we will reconfirm your availability.
If you have already come to the lab for the this study, please do not reapply at this time. There are more studies to come.
