The Motor Control Lab in the Psychology Dept. at McGill is looking for more right handed subjects (age 18 – 35) to complete a motor study involving TMS (painless Trans-cranial Magnetic Stimulation) of the motor cortex (M1) area of the brain.
We will place electrodes on the right upper arm (wear short sleeve shirt please), over your biceps and triceps muscles, and stimulate the motor area of your brain (M1) to establish a baseline EMG signal by single pulse TMS. We will then ask you to do arm movements in a robot.
We would need up to three hours of your time and compensation is $50.00. A personal or family history of seizure and/or metal parts in the body are the only major contraindications to this study.
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org (sessions arranged by email only, please put ‘TMS Motor Learning Study’ in the subject field) with your availability for the next two weeks, longer if possible. We only do a few subjects per week so it can take us some time to get back to you. If so we will reconfirm your availability.
